PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING BERBANTUAN MIND MAPPING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran snowballl throwing berbatuan mind mapping dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V Semester II di SD Gugus VIII Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD di Gugus VIII Kecamatan Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016.2017. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas V SD Negeri 1 Paket Agung dan kelas V SD Negeri 2 Paket Agung yang ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Data diperoleh melalui metode tes berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial uji-t dengan rumus polled varians.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran snowballl throwing berbatuan mind mapping dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, dengan nilai thitung sebesar 5,43 dan ttab sebesar 1,99. Artinya, thitung lebih besar dari ttab. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran snowball throwing berbantuan mind mapping berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa.

This study aimed at determining whether there were differences in IPS learning outcomes between group of students who were taught by using the learning model of snowballl throwing assisted by mind mapping and group of students who were taught by using conventional learning in V grade students on second semester, of elementary school in Gugus VIII Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, academic year 2016/2017. This type of research was a quasi-experimental study with nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The population of this research was all of V grade students of elementary school in Gugus VIII Buleleng District, academic year 2016/2017. The samples of this research were V grade students in SD Negeri 1 Paket Agung and V grade students in SD Negeri 2 Paket Agung which were determined by random sampling technique. The data are obtained through multiple choice test method. The data was analyzed by using statistical descriptive analysis technique and t-test statistical inferential with polled variance formulation. The results show that there are differences in learning outcomes between groups of students who are taught by using the learning model of snowballl throwing assisted by mind mapping and groups of students who are taught by using conventional learning, with 5.43 score of t-count and 1.99 score of t-tab. It means that t-count is bigger than t-tab. Besed on the result of this research it can be concluded that teaching model snowball throwing that is assisted by mind mapping affects the students learning outcome in learning IPS.
