PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SETS BERBANTUAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL TERHADAP KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPA SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) berbantuan media audio visual dengan kelompok yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus Teuku Umar Denpasar Barat tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan rancangan kelompok Non-ekuivalen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas V SD Gugus Teuku Umar Denpasar Barat tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kompetensi pengetahuan IPA dan dianalisis dengan uji-t. Setelah dianalisis dengan uji-t, diperoleh thitung = 2,978 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk = 72 dan ttabel= 2,000. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian thitung=2,978>ttabel= 2,000. Dengan demikian, terdapat perbedaan yang sigifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA kelompok yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) berbantuan media audio visual dengan kelompok yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus Teuku Umar Denpasar Barat tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata gain skor kompetensi pengetahuan IPA yang diperoleh kelompok eksperimen "X" ̅ = 0,42 > "X" ̅ = 0,28 rata-rata gain skor kompetensi pengetahuan IPA yang diperoleh kelompok kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas V SD Gugus Teuku Umar Denpasar Barat tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran SETS, media audio visual, kompetensi pengetahuan IPA
This research aimed to determine the significant differences result of science knowledge competence between group who learned through SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) learning model with audio visual media with group who learned through conventional learning in fifth grade students of SD Gugus Teuku Umar West Denpasar in academic year 2016/2017. This research was quasi experiment which used non equivalent control group design. The population of this research was all students in fifth grade of SD Gugus Teuku Umar West Denpasar in the academic year 2016/2017. The samples were taken by random sampling technique. The data that were collected was the result of science competence analysed by t-test. After analysed by t-test, it is obtain that thitung=2,978 and in 5% of significant standart with dk=72 and ttabel=2,000. According to the criterion of thitung = 2,978>ttabel=2,000. Therefore, there is significant difference result science competence between group who learned through SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) learning model with audio visual media with group who learned through conventional learning in fifth grade students of SD Gugus Teuku Umar West Denpasar in the academic year 2016/2017. The result showed an average gain score competence obtained by experiment group "X" ̅=0,42 > "X" ̅=0,28 an average gain score science competence by control group. So, it can be conclude there was the influence of SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) learning model with audio visual media in science competence of fifth grade students in SD Gugus Teuku Umar West Denpasar in the academic year 2016/2017.
