PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING BERBANTUAN MEDIA POWER POINT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam Penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD pada mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing berbantuan media power point dan siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD yang berada pada Gugus IV Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Karangasem tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 141 orang. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih mengunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes dan instrument yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar IPA berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan teknik uji-t. Hasil analisis data, menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing berbantuan media power point dan siswa kelas V yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional dengan nilai thitung sebesar 6,60 dan nilai ttabel dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan dk = 42, sebesar 2,021, dengan demikian maka thitung > ttabel. Berdasarkan temuan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing berbantuan media power point berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD di Gugus IV Kecamatan Kubu tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.

The problem is low learning achievement in science subject of the fifth grade students. This research aims to investigate the difference between the science learning achievement for the fifth grade students who get treatment with snowball throwing cooperative learning model and conventional learning. This research is a quasi research with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is all of the fifth grade students of Cluster IV in Kubu Subdistrict, Karangasem Regency on academic year 2016/2017 which are 141 students in number. The research sample are chosen through simple random sampling technique. The data are collected through test by science learning achievement as the instrument. The data are analyzed by using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic analysis using T-test. The result of data analysis shows significant difference between the fifth grade students who are teached by using snowball throwing cooperative learning model assisted by power point and those who are teached by using conventional learning model with the tcount 6.60 and ttable with significancy 5% and dk in the amount of 42 in the amount of 2.021. Thus, tcount > ttable. Based on the result of data analysis, the conclusion is that snowball throwing type of cooperative learning model assisted by power point media affects the science learning achievement of the fifth grade students of Cluster IV in Kubu Subdistrict on academic year 2016/2017 positively.
