Kata Kunci : Problem Based Learning, audiovisual, IPS
This study aimed to determine the significant differences in social sciences learning outcomes between students who were taught by Problem Based Learning model with audiovisual media and the students with conventional learning of fourth grade students at Gugus VII elementary school of South Kuta. This research was quasi experimental with non equivalent control group design. The population of this research was the fourth grade students at Gugus VII elementary school of South Kuta in academic year 2016/2017 with total number 174 students. Random sampling technique was used in this research to obtain the sample and there were 36 students of fourth grade students at SD No.5 Pecatu as an experimental group, and 34 students of fourth grade students at SD No.4 Pecatu as control group. The data was collected by using multiple choice objective test and it was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The result find that thit =6,28> ttab = 2,00 at 5% significance level. Thus, there are significant differences of Social Science learning outcomes between students who were taught by using Problem Based Learning model with audiovisual media, and the students with conventional learning. Moreover, the average value of experimental group is 79,12 and 63,81 in control group, it means that the average value of experimental group is higher than control group. So, it can be concluded that Problem Based Learning model with audiovisual media influence the learning outcomes of social sciences of fourth grade students of Gugus VII elementary school of South Kuta.
