PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING BERMEDIAKAN GAMBAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 1 SANGSIT BULELENG

Masih rendahnya hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 1 Sangsit Kabupaten Buleleng menjadi permasalahan mendesak yang perlu dicari faktor penyebab dan alternatif pemecahannya. Temuan observasi awal bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar IPA sebesar 68,06 di kelas VA dan 67,28 di VB merupakan hasil belajar yang masih di bawah nilai KKM yaitu 69. Rendahnya hasil belajar IPA ini diduga karena strategi dan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru cenderung kurang mengatifkan peserta didik, baik secara fisik maupun psikologis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mencoba mengeksperimenkan model pembelajaran snowball throwing bermediakan gambar yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 1 Sangsit Kabupaten Buleleng. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain non-equivalent post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 64 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klaster random sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan metode tes dengan tipe tes objektif pilihan ganda. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis statistik inferensial teknik uji-t sampel independen. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen adalah 25,90 dan rata-rata skor kelompok kontrol adalah 23,21. Hasil analisis uji-t diperoleh bahwa thitung = 22,39 dan ttabel (p<0,05) =2,00. Hal ini berarti bahwa thitung > ttabel. Hasil ini berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran snowball throwing bermediakan gambar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 di SD Negeri 1 Sangsit Kabupaten Buleleng.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran snowball throwing, media gambar, hasil belajar IPA
The low learning outcomes of science in grade V students in SD Negeri 1 Sangsit Buleleng become an urgent problem that need to look for the factors of causes and alternative solutions. The findings of preliminary observation that the average of science learning outcome of 68,06 in class of VA and 67,28 in VB is result of study which is still below KKM value that is 69. The low result of science learning is allegedly because of strategy and instructional model applied by teacher tend to be less active learners, both physically and psychologically. Therefore, this research tries to experiment the learning model of snowball throwing provides an image that aims to know the effect on science learning outcomes in grade V students in SD Negeri 1 Sangsit Buleleng District. This type of research is quasi experimental research using non-equivalent design post-test only control group design. The population of this study is 64 people. Sample using cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected using a multiple choice objective test method. The data of the research were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis method and inferential statistical analysis method of independent sample t test. The result of data analysis shows that the average of experiment group score is 25,90 and the mean of control group score is 23,21. Result of t-test analysis obtained that tobs = 22,39 and ttable (p <0,05) = 2,00. This means that tobs > ttable This result means that it can be concluded that the application of snowball throwing learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of science in class V students of the Year 2016/2017 at SD Negeri 1 Sangsit Buleleng District.
