PENGARUH MODEL KOOPERATIF TALKING STICK BERBANTUAN QUESTION CARD TERHADAP KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS SISWA KELAS IV

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick berbantuan media question card dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Negeri I Kuta Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas IV SD Negeri Gugus I Kuta Selatan yang terdiri dari 5 SD. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling untuk menentukan kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan hasil siswa kelas IVB SD No.9 Benoa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas IVC SD No.4 Benoa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes objektif bentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thit = 4,545 dan ttabel = 2,000 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk 61. Oleh karena thitung 4,545 > ttabel 2,000 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick berbantuan media question card dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, dilihat dari nilai rerata kelompok eksperimen = 80,636 > = 72,833 pada kelompok kontrol. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick berbantuan media question card berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Gugus I Kuta Selatan.

This study aims to determine the significant differences in the mastery of IPS knowledge competence between groups of students who were taught by cooperative learning model of talking stick type assisted by media question card and group of students who were taught by conventional learning in fourth graders of SD Negeri Gugus I of South Kuta. This research type is quasi experiment research with non equivalent control group design design. The population of this study is all the fourth grade of SD Negeri Gugus I Kuta Selatan 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 5 elementary schools with 420 students. Determination of the sample in this study was conducted by random sampling technique that was randomized to the class to determine the experimental group and the control group and the result of the draw that is the students of grade IVB SD No.9 Benoa as the experimental group which amounted to 33 students and IVC SD 4 Benoa as Control group of 30 students. Data collection methods used in this study using the test method, the type of objective multiple choice form. The data collected were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the result of data analysis, obtained thit = 4,545 and ttable = 2,000 at 5% significance level with dk 61. Because tcount 4,545 > ttable 2,000 then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be stated that there is a significant difference in the mastery of the competence of IPS knowledge between the groups of students who follow the learning with cooperative learning type of talking stick modeled media question card and group of students taught by conventional learning, and seen from the average value of the experimental group = 80,636 > = 72.833 in the control group. So, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type of talking stick assisted media question card influence on the competence of knowledge knowledge IPS fourth grade students SD Negeri Gugus I South Kuta.
