PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara Denpasar Timur Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Desain penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara Denpasar Timur yang berjumlah 237 orang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 15 Dangin Puri dengan jumlah 38 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV SDN 19 Dangin Puri dengan jumlah 33 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes dalam bentuk tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis data diperoleh thitnung= 4,89sedangkan pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 69 diperoleh nilai ttabel = 2,00 sehingga thitung = 4,89> ttabel = 2,00. Berdasarkan kriterian pengujian, maka H_0 ditolak dan H_a diterima. Adapun nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing adalah 84,97, sedangkan pada kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 72,36. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terhadap penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara Denpasar Timur Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran snowball throwing, kompetensi pengetahuan IPS
This study aimed at investigating the significant differences of IPS knowledge competency mastery between students who were taught by Snowball Throwing learning model and IPS knowledge competency mastery of students who were taught by conventional learning model in the fourth grade of SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara Denpasar Timur in academic year 2016/2017. This study was quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was students of fourth grade of SD Gugus Ki HajarDewantara Denpasar Timur which are 237 students. The sample was determined by random sampling method. The sample in this study was the fourth grade students of SDN 15 DanginPuri which are 38 students as experimental group and the fourth grade students of SDN 19 DanginPuri which are 33 students as the control group. Data were obtained from conventional multiple choice test. Data that were obtained then analyzed using t-test. From data analyzed, obtained t_count=4,89 and t_table=2,00 at significance level = 5% and degrees of freedom = 69 such thatt_count>t_table. According to the test criteria, H_0 was rejected and H_a was accepted. The average score of IPS knowledge competency mastery of students who were taught by Snowball Throwing learning model was 84,97 and IPS knowledge competency mastery of students who were taught by conventional learning model was 72,36. Therefore, we can conclude that there are significant differences of IPS knowledge competency mastery between students who were taught by Snowball Throwing learning model and IPS knowledge competency mastery of students who were taught by conventional learning model in the fourth grade of SD Gugus Ki Hajar Dewantara Denpasar Timur in academic year 2016/2017.
