Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Learning Cycle Berbantuan Media Audio Visual Terhadap Kompetensi Pengetahuan IPA Siswa Kelas IV

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran siklus belajar (learning cycle) berbantuan media audio visual dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas IV SD gugus IX abiansemal tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen yang menggunakan desain eksperimen semu yaitu rancangan non-equilevalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV SD gugus IX abiansemal yang berjumlah 245 siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 72 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling, uji kesetaraan dengan memberikan pre test menggunakan teknik matching. Data kompetensi pengetahuan IPA dikumpulkan dengan metode tes, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen X ̅=80,66>X ̅=68,75 kelompok kontrol. Melalui uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung=5,224, sedangkan dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 32+32-2=62 diperoleh ttabel=2,000, sehingga thitung= 5,224>ttabel(α=0,05, 62)=2,000, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Ini berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran siklus belajar (learning cycle) berbantuan media audio visual dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas IV SD gugus IX abiansemal tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Berdasarkan perbedaan nilai rata-rata kedua kelompok dan hasil uji hipotesis,maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran siklus belajar (learning cycle) berbantuan media audio visual berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas IV SD gugus IX abiansemal tahun ajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : learning cycle, audio visual, IPA
Abstract This study aims to determine the significant differences of science knowledge competence between groups of students who are studied with learning cycle learning model assisted by audio visual media and group of students which is taught by conventional learning in fourth grade of SD gugus IX abiansemal academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is an experiment that uses a pseudo experimental design that is a non-equilevalent control group design. The population of this study that is all students of class IV elementary school gugus IX abiansemal which amounted to 245 students. The samples were 72 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling, equality test by giving pre test using matching technique. Data on knowledge competence of IPA was collected by test method, then analyzed using t-test. Based on data analysis, the experimental group average=80,66>68,75 control group. Through hypothesis test obtained tcount= 5,224,while with significance level 5% and dk=32+32-2=62 obtained ttable = 2,000, so thitung = 5,224> ttable (= 0,05,62) = 2,000, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. This means that there is a significant difference in science knowledge competence between groups of students who are taught by learning cycle model of learning aided by audio visual media and group of students that is taught by conventional learning in fourth grade of SD gugus IX abiansemal academic year 2016/2017. Based on the difference of mean value of both groups and the result of hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the use of learning cycle model learning cycle supported audio visual media influence on science knowledge competence of fourth grade students of SD gugus IX abiansemal academic year 2016/2017.
