PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA PADA SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran snowball throwing terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus IV Kecamatan Gerokgak Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 6 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas V SDN 3 Sanggalangit dengan jumlah siswa 34 orang dan kelas V SDN 3 Gerokgak dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang, yang ditentukan dengan random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dalam dua tahap, yaitu dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial melalui uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan kelompok siswa yang tidak dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran snowball throwing. Dilihat dari rata-rata skor kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajara snowball throwing dan kelompok siswa yang tidak dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran snowbal throwing yaitu 20,9 > 18,6. Adanya perbedaan hasil belajar IPA menandakan model pembelajaran snowball throwing berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD di Gugus IV Kecamatan Gerokgak, Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.

This research aimed to determine the effect of snowball throwing model to the science learning.The research was quasi experiment with post test only control group design. The population was fifth grade elementary school students in cluster IV Gerokgak district, Buleleng regerency, in 2016/2017 school year which consists of 6 classes. The sample of this research were fifth grade students in SDN 3 Saggalangit which consisted of 34 students and fifth grade students in SDN 3 Gerokgak which consisted of 36 students, involved by random sampling technique. Data collected by the test method. Data were analyzed using two steps, by descriptive statistics and inferential statistic through t-test. The result of the analyses showed that there were differences of the science learning result among group students that learned with snowball throwing model and group students that not learned with snowball throwing model. Judging from the average score of a group of students that learned with snowball throwing model larger than the group of students that not learned with snowball throwing model, amount 20,9 > 18,6. Based on the result, can be concluded that snowball throwing model influence the science learning result in fifth grade cluster IV Gerokgak distric, Buleleng regency, in 2016/2017 school year.
