PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION BERBANTUAN MEDIA POWERPOINT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction berbantuan media powerpoint dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen), dengan desain Non Equivalen post test only control group desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD di Gugus X Kecamatan Buleleng yang berjumlah 132 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas V SDN 1 Kaliuntu berjumlah 28 siswa dan kelas V SDN 3 Kaliuntu berjumlah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode tes. Istrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan tehnik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial uji-t dengan rumus polled varians. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction berbantuan media powerpoint dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD di Gugus X Kecamatan Buleleng. Hal ini ditunjukan oleh thitung (3,813) > ttabel (2,000). Selanjutnya, rata-rata skor hasil belajar IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction berbantuan media powerpoint adalah 20,15 lebih tinggi dari rata-rata hasil belajar IPS menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 16,07. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction berbantuan media powerpoint berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD di Gugus X Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017.

This study aims to determine the differences of IPS learning outcome between group of students who are taught by using Powerpoint assisted Problem Based Instruction learning model and group of students who are taught by using conventional learning model. This is Quasi-Experimental research, this study uses Non Equivalent post - test only control group design. The population of this research is all of the 5th grade of elementary school in Gugus X Buleleng district, having 132 students. The sample of this research is 5th grade students of SDN 1 Kaliuntu which consists of 28 students and 5th grade of SDN 3 Kaliuntu which consists of 32 students. Data collection in this study was conducted using the test method. The data collection instrument used is a multiple choice test. The data collection is analyzed by using two forms of statistical analysis, namely descriptive statistic analysis and inferential statistic t – test analysis with polled varians formula. The result shows that there is a difference of IPS learning outcome between group of students who are taught by using powerpoint assisted Problem Based Instruction learning model and group of students who are taught by using conventional learning model of 5th grade elemntary students in Gugus X Buleleng district. This is indicated by thitung(3,813) >ttabel (2,000). Moreover, the mean score of learning outcome by using Powerpoint assisted Problem Based Instruction learning model is 20,15 which is higher than the mean of using conventional learning model, 16,07. Therefore, PowerPoint assisted Problem Based Instruction learning model has an significant effect toward IPS learning outcome of 5th grade elementary school students in Gugus X Buleleng district, Buleleng Regency in 2016/2017 academic year.
