PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE BERBANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS antara kelompok siswa yang belajar mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berbantuan media gambar dan kelompok siswa yang pembelajarannya tidak mengikuti model think pair share pada siswa kelas V SD di Gugus II Kecamatan Melaya, Kabupaten Jembrana Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan non-equivalent post-test control group design. Sebanyak 24 siswa SD Negeri 4 Melaya Kecamatan Melaya Kabupaten Jembrana dilibatkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berbantuan media gambar sebanyak 7 kali pertemuan. Sementara sebanyak 24 siswa SD Negeri 3 Melaya Kecamatan Melaya Kabupaten Jembrana dilibatkan sebagai kelompok kontrol yang tidak mendapatkan perlakuan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berbantuan media gambar, akan tetapi pembelajarannya berlangsung sesuai kebiasaan guru mengajar sebelumnya. Kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol memiliki kesetaraan hasil belajar IPS sebelum diberikan perlakuan. Setelah perlakuan kepada kelompok eksperimen selesai, kedua kelompok baik kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol diberikan tes hasil belajar IPS buatan peneliti yang telah teruji validitas isi, validitas butir, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda dan reliabilitasnya. Dalam hal ini kelompok eksperimen lebih baik hasil belajarnya dari kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelompok siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berbantuan media gambar dan kelompok siswa yang pembelajarannya tidak menggunakan model think pair share berbantuan media gambar. Nilai t = 6,17 dan signifikansi = 0,000. Hasil belajar kelompok siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berbantuan media gambar lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok siswa yang tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share.

This aims of the research is to determine the differences in students learning outcomes in the Social Lesson between groups of students who learn to follow the model of cooperative learning in type of think pair share using pictuers as a media and the groups of the students who do not use the model of think pair share in students of grade V of SD in Gugus II of Melaya District, Jembrana Regency in Year 2016/2017. This research is a quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The determination of the sample in this study using random sampling technique of 24 students as an experimental class in SD 4 and 24 students of control class in SD 3 Melaya. The data obtained were analyzed in two stages, namely descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The results showed that there are differences in learning outcomes between groups of students using cooperative learning model in type of think pair share with pictures as the media and the groups of students who learning did not use think pair share model. Value t = 6.17 and significance = 0,000. The result of the study of the groups of the students using cooperative learning model in type of think pair share using pictures as a media is higher than the groups of the students who do not use cooperative learning model in type think pair share.
