PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERHADAP MINAT BACA DAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA SISWA KELAS V SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat baca dan pemahaman konsep IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran bukan inkuiri. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Anturan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan uji-t. Untuk menguji hipotesis I dan II digunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan minat baca dan pemahaman konsep IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan pembelajaran bukan inkuiri.Hasil uji hipotesis I menunjukkan bahwa thit = 3,71 > ttab = 2,201. Hasil uji hipotesis II menunjukkan bahwa thit = 4,141 > ttab = 2,021. Hal ini, dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan minat baca dan pemahaman konsep IPA antara kelompok yang dibelajarkan pembelajaran Inkuiri dengan kelompok yang tidak dibelajarkan pembelajaran Inkuiri. Dilihat dari hasil perhitungan rata-rata minat baca dan pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap minat baca dan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Anturan tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : pemahaman konsep, inkuiri,minat baca
The research aims to determine the difference in reading interest and understanding of science concept between groups of student who were taught the inquiry learning model with the groups of student who were taught by non-inquiry learning. The population the research is the students of grade V SD Negeri 3 Anturan academic year 2016/2017. The sample of the research was taken by using random sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used are description statistics and t-test. To test the hypothesis I and hypothesis II used t-test. The results showed that there was a different in reading interest and understanding of science concepts between groups of student who were modeled inquiry learnig with the groups of student who were by non-inquiry learning. The result of hypothesis test I showed that thit = 3,71 > ttab = 2,201. The result of hypothesis test II showed that thit = 4,141 > ttab = 2,021. It can be interpreted that there are significant differences between the two of student groups. And the average calculation of reading interesst and understanding concepts was higher in eksperiment class and control class. Thus the inquiry learning model as and effect on reading interest and understanding of sciece concept of the students grade V SD Negeri 3 Anturan 2016/2017.
