PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL BERBANTUAN MEDIA SEDERHANA TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPA SISWA KELAS IV SD GUGUS PANGERAN DIPONEGORO KECAMATAN DENPASAR BARAT TAHUN AJARAN 2016/2017

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media sederhana dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro Kecamatan Denpasar Barat Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 yang banyaknya 442 orang siswa. Sampel ditentukan dengan random sampling dengan mengacak kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IVA SD Negeri 11 Pemecutan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IVA SD Negeri 1 Pemecutan sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA dikumpulkan dengan instrumen berupa tes objektif bentuk pilihan ganda biasa. Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA kemudian dianalisis dengan uji-t. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media sederhana dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro Kecamatan Denpasar Barat Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil hasil thitung = 3,685 > ttabel (α = 0,05, 62) = 2,000. Demikian pula nilai rerata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelompok eksperimen = 76,22 > = 66,97 rerata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media sederhana berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro Kecamatan Denpasar Barat Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual, media sederhana, penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA.
This research is aimed to determine the difference of students competence mastery in science knowledge by the use of contextual learning approach with the use of simple media and the students who were taught by conventional learning in class IV students of SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro District West Denpasar in academic year 2016/2017. The research was considered to be a quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group research design. The population of this study is all students of the class IV of the SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro in academic year 2016/2017 which has 442 students. The sample was taken by random sampling technique by randomly chose the classes. The sample in this research is class IVA SD Negeri 11 Pemecutan as the experimental group and class IVA SD Negeri 1 Pemecutan as control group. The data of the students competence mastery in science knowledge is collected by instrument in the form of objective test of the usual multiple choice form. The data of students competence mastery in science knowledge then was analyzed with t-test. The result of the analysis showed that there is a significant difference on the students students competence mastery in science knowledge between the group of students who were taught by using the contextual learning approach with the use of simple media and the group of students who were taught using conventional learning in class IV students of SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro District of West Denpasar in academic year 2016/2017. It was proven by the result of thitung = 3,685>ttable (α = 0,05,62) = 2,000. Similarly, the mean of experimental group students competence mastery in science knowledge = 76,22 > = 66,97 the mean of control group students competence mastery in science knowledge. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of contextual teaching approach with the use simple media has influence in the students competence mastery in science knowledge in class IV students of SD Gugus Pangeran Diponegoro District West Denpasar in the academic year 2016/2017.
