PENGARUH PENDEKATAN STARTER EKSPERIMEN (STARTER EXPERIMENT APPROACH) BERBANTUAN VIDEO TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Pendekatan Starter Eksperimen (Starter Experiment Approach) berbantuan video dan yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Gugus I Kecamatan Kubutambahan Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis peneltian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Gugus I Gugus I Kecamatan Kubutambahan Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017, yang berjumlah 95 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling, pada teknik ini yang dirandom adalah kelas. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan tehnik undian. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas V SD Negeri 2 Bukti yang berjumlah 23 siswa dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Bukti yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial yaitu uji-t. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh yaitu (1) hasil belajar IPA siswa kelompok eksperimen tergolong kriteria tinggi dengan rata-rata (M) 22,56, (2) hasil belajar IPA siswa kelompok kontrol tergolong kriteria sedang dengan rata-rata (M) 15,85 dan (3) hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa thit = 5,545 dan ttab = 2,019 (thit > ttab). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan Pendekatan Starter Eksperimen (Starter Experiment Approach) berbantuan video dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V di sekolah dasar Gugus I Kecamatan Kubutambahan Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : pendekatan starter eksperimen , berbantuan video, hasil belajar ipa
This research aimed to know the significant differences in science learning outcomes between groups of students who were taught by Starter Experiment Approach video-assisted and they who was taught by conventional learning in grade V Elementary School Cluster I Kubutambahan Buleleng District in academic Year 2016/2017. The type of research is a quasi-experimental study. The population of this study is all students of class V SD Gugus I District Kubutambahan Buleleng District in academic Year 2016/2017, the total students are 95 people. Sampling technique in this research using random sampling technique, in this technique the random is a class. The sample selection was done by drawing technique. The sample in this research is class V SD Negeri 2 Bukti which amounts to 23 students and students of class V SD Negeri 1 Bukti which amounted to 20 students. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical and inferential statistical techniques, ie t-test. The result of data analysis is (1) the result of science learning of the experimental group is high criterion with the average (M) 22,56, (2) the result of science learning of control group classified by medium criterion with average (M) 15, 85 and (3) t test results show that thit = 5.545 and ttab = 2.019 (thit > ttab). Thus, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in Science (IPA) learning outcomes between the groups of students who followed the learning using the Starter Experiment Approach with video-assisted and those who followed the learning by using conventional learning approaches in grade V students in primary school Gugus I Kecamatan Kubutambahan Buleleng Regency in Academic Year 2016/2017.
