This study aimed at determining the significant differences in IPS learning outcomes between groups of students who were taught by using the model of think pair share and group of students who were taught by using conventional learning model in V grade students Semester II Airlangga Group I Mendoyo District, Jembrana District Lesson Year 2016 / 2017. This research is a quasi experiment research. The population in this study is the students of V grade SD Gugus I Airlangga Mendoyo District with the total number of students of class V is 183 students. Through the random sampling technique, the sample was determined in the research was class V in SD Negeri 1 Mendoyo Dangin Tukad as experimental group and class V in SD Negeri 2 Pohsanten as control group. The instrument used in this study is the test of learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed in two stages, namely by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis (t-test). The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in students IPS learning outcomes between groups of students who were taught by using the think pair share model and the group of students who were taught using conventional learning model. This is shown from the experimental group (23,65)> control group (19,86). The calculation results on t-test, tcount (3.68)> table (2.010), so H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. Thus, the learning model of think pair share has an effect on the learning result of IPS student of class V.
