PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LEARNING CYCLE 5E TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V DI GUGUS VII KECAMATAN BULELENG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model learning cycle 5E dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model konvensional. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian kuasi eksperimen non equivalent post–test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 64 orang siswa kelas V SD tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 di Gugus VII Kecamatan Buleleng. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas V SD No. 1 Banjar Bali yang berjumlah 35 orang dan kelas V SD No. 1 Kampung Kajanan yang berjumlah 29 orang. Data hasil belajar IPA siswa dikumpulkan dengan instrumen tes berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji–t). Rata–rata hasil belajar IPA yang dibelajarkan dengan model learning cycle 5E adalah 23,11 sedangkan rata–rata hasil belajar IPA yang dibelajarkan dengan model konvensional adalah 14,03, sehingga hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA yang signifikan antara yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran learning cycle 5E dan yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci : learning cycle 5E, hasil belajar IPA
This research purpose is to know the differences of Science’s learning result between students who take learning cycle 5E model and conventional model. To grasp that purpose experimental research of quasi experiment using equivalent post–test only controls group design is conducted. The population is 64 students of 5th grade elementary school in Cluster VII Buleleng District of school year 2012/2013. The sample is 35 students of 5th grade of SD No. 1 Banjar Bali and 29 students of 5th grade of SD No. 1 Kampung Kajanan. The data are collected by using test instrument of multiple choices. Collected data are analyzed by using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic (t-test). Mean of Science’s learning result which is using learning cycle 5E model is 23.11, meanwhile the using of conventional model is 14.03. So the result lead to the conclusion, there is a significant differences between Science’s learning result which is using learning cycle 5E model and Science’s learning result which is using conventional model.
