PENGARUH STRATEGI PROBLEM SOLVING BERBANTUAN KARTU KERJA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V SD DI DESA TEJAKULA

Abstract


Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi problem solving berbantuan kartu kerja, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi ekspositori, (3) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi problem solving berbantuan kartu kerja dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi ekspositori pada siswa kelas V SD di desa Tejakula tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD di desa Tejakula yang berjumlah 163 orang. Sedangkan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 58 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik Probability Sampling, tetapi yang dirandom adalah kelas. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar matematika kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan strategi problem solving berbantuan kartu kerja menunjukkan skor rata-rata 42,10 berada pada kategori sangat tinggi (2) hasil belajar matematika kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan strategi ekspositori rata-rata skor siswa adalah 32,64 berada pada kategori sedang. (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika yang signifikan antara kelompok dengan strategi problem solving berbantuan kartu kerja dan kelompok dengan strategi ekspositori pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di desa Tejakula. Perbedaan tersebut dilihat dari thit > ttab (thit = 4,623. > ttab = 2,003). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa strategi problem solving berbantuan kartu kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika dibandingkan dengan strategi ekspositori.

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe mathematics learning outcomes of students who were taught with card-assisted problem solving strategy, (2) describe mathematics learning outcomes of students were taught with expository strategy, (3) determine significant differences of mathematics learning outcomes between group of students who taught with card-assisted problem solving strategy and group of students who were taught with expository strategy of fifth grade elementary school students in Tejakula Village in academic year 2013/2014. This study was a [quasi-experimental] with a post-test only control on group design. Population of study was 163 students and sample of this study were 58 students who were determined by using Probability Sampling technique. The obtained data was analyzed in two stages, namely descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test independent sample). The results of this study showed that: (1) mathematics learning outcomes of experimental group students who were taught with card-assisted problem solving strategy revealed an average score 42.10 that was in very high category (2) mathematics learning outcomes of controlled group by using expository strategies had average score 32.64 that was in medium category (3) there were significant differences in mathematics learning outcomes between group that was taught by using card-assisted problem solving strategy and group that was taught by using expository strategy in fifth grade elementary school students in the Tejakula Village. The differences were seen from tcount> ttab ( tcount = 4.623 . > Ttab = 2.003). Based on the findings, it was concluded that the card-assisted problem solving strategy had more positive effect on mathematics learning outcomes than expository strategy.
