PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS IV SD DI GUGUS XI KECAMATAN BULELENG

Pembelajaran IPA selama ini cenderung membosankan karena model dan metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan kurang bervariasi. Untuk mengatasi itu, diadakannya pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) hasil belajar IPA pada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, (2) hasil belajar IPA pada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung, (3) perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung siswa kelas IV di Gugus XI Kecamatan Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV di Gugus XI Kecamatan Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 123 orang. Data hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan tes berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) hasil belajar siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah memiliki mean (M) = 20,47 termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi, (2) hasil belajar siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung memiliki mean (M) = 15,67 termasuk dalam kategori sedang, (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar secara signifikan antara siswa yang belajar mengikuti model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan siswa yang belajar mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD di gugus XI Kecamatan Buleleng.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, hasil belajar IPA.
Some students taught that, science make them bore because model and method that is applied now is varied. To resolve that problem, the researcher use problem based learning method to make the students interestto study science. This research aims to determine (1) the learning outcomes of the students who take science learning with problem based on learning model, (2) the learning outcomes of the students who take science learning with learning model directly, (3) the difference of science learning outcomes between students who are participating in learning with problem based on learning model and students who take lessons with learning model directlyis in the fourth grade in Cluster XI Buleleng academic in 2013/2014. This research is a quasi-experiment. The population is all in the fourth grade students in Cluster XI Buleleng academic in 2013/2014, which amounts to 123 people. The data of student’s learning outcomes was collected in the form of multiple choice tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (t-test).The results showed that (1) the learning outcomes of students who take lessons with a problem based learning model has a mean (M) = 20.47 included in the high category , (2) learning outcomes of students who take learning model directly has a mean (M) = 15.67 included in the medium category , ( 3 ) so that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between students who are learning to follow the model of problem based learning with students who are learning to follow the learning model directly . Thus, the use of problem-based learning model affect the learning outcomes of students in the fourth grade cluster XI Buleleng.
