PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SSCS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran SSCS dengan kelompok siswa yang melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD No.4 Kalibukbuk yang berjumlah 35 orang dan siswa kelas IV SD No. 2 Kalibukbuk yang berjumlah 24 orang. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes essay. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial yaitu uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas IV semester I di Gugus XV Kalibukbuk yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran SSCS dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional (thitung > ttabel, thitung = 10,53 dan ttabel = 2,00). Berdasarkan temuan di atas, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran SSCS berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran SSCS, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika
This research attempted to find out the difference of the mathematics problem solving ability between the students taught by SSCS teaching method and the students taught byconventional teaching method. This research is a semu experimental research. The sample of this research was 35 fourth grade studentsof SD 4 Kalibukbuk and 24 fourth grade students of SD 2 Kalibukbuk. The data of students mathematics problem solving was collected by using descriptive statistics and inferentian statistics namely t-test. The result showed that there was mathematics problem solving ability of fourth grade students in first semester in gugus XV Kalibukbuk between the students taught by using SSCS teaching method and the students taught by using conventional method (tcount > ttable, tcount =10,53 and ttable = 2,00). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that SSCS learning method brings positive impactto mathematics problem solving ability compare with the conventional teaching method.
