PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS OTAK ( BRAIN BASED LEARNING ) BERBANTUAN MEDIA TEKA-TEKI SILANG TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS I GUSTI NGURAH JELANTIK

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis otak ( brain based learning ) berbantuan media teka-teki silang dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Jumlah keseluruhan populasi adalah di SD Gugus I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik adalah 403 siswa, sedangkan jumlah sampel adalah 73 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes dan observasi. Selanjutnya data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis uji-t. Dari hasil analisis uji-t diperoleh thit = 7,825 sedangkan ttab = 2,000 dan M1 = 78,23 sedangkan M2 = 71,97. Berarti dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaraan berbasis otak ( brain based learning ) berbantuan media teka-teki silang dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik. Selain itu dilihat dari rata-ratanya bahwa nilai hasil belajar IPS siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis otak ( brain based learning ) berbantuan media teka-teki silang lebih baik dari pada hasil belajar IPS siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis otak ( brain based learning ) berbantuan media teka-teki silang terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Gugus I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik Denpasar Utara Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : Brain Based Learning, Teka-teki Silang, Hasil Belajar IPS
The purpose of this research was to determine the significant differences between the IPS learning achievement of student’s who learned through the brain -based learning asissted by crossword puzzle media than the students who learned with conventional learning method at the fifth grade of elementary school gugus I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik. This research was a quasi-experimental study ( quasi experiment ) with Nonequivalent Control Group Design . The total number of population is 403 students, while the sample size only 73 students . The samples were taken with a random sampling technique. The data was collected by testing and observation method. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed by t-test analysis technique. From the results of t-test analysis was obtained thit = 7.825 while ttab = 2.000 and M1 = M2 = 78.23 while 71.97. Means that this research shows that there are differences in learning achievement between students who learned IPS through brain -based learning asissted by crossword puzzle media than the students who learned conventional learning at the fifth grade elementary school gugus I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik. In addition to the views of the average value of social studies that students who learned through the brain -based learning brain -based learning asissted by crossword puzzles media is better than the IPS learning achievement of the student’s who learned through conventional learning method. This means that there is an influence of the application of brain -based learning (brain -based learning ) assisted by crossword puzzle media on student’s IPS learning achievement of the fifth grade elementary school gugus I Ngurah Jelantik Denpasar, Academic Year 2013/2014.
