PENGARUH PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SCIENCE, ENVIRONMENT, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY (SETS) MELALUI KERJA KELOMPOK BERBASIS LINGKUNGAN TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SD N 9 SESETAN, DENPASAR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Science, Environment, Technology and Society (SETS) melalui kerja kelompok berbasis lingkungan dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental). Rancangan Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD N 9 Sesetan, Denpasar. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh yaitu kelas VA yang berjumlah 40 orang dan kelas VB yang berjumlah 42 orang. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data hasil belajar IPA ranah kognitif, data tersebut dikumpulkan dengan metode tes, jenis tes itu adalah tes objektif dengan jenis tes pilihan ganda biasa. Selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas terhadap data dari kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Setelah data berdistribusi normal dan homogen maka dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5% sehingga diperoleh hasil thit=5,75 dan ttabel=2,00 dengan db=80 (n1+n2-2=40+42–2=80). Berdasarkan pengujian tersebut, thit>ttabel (5,75>2,000), maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) melalui kerja kelompok berbasis lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD N 9 Sesetan, Denpasar.Kata Kunci : pendekatan SETS, kerja kelompok berbasis lingkungan, dan hasil belajar
This research aims to determine significant differences in learning achievement between the students that learned science with used SETS approach through group work-based environment learning with students with used conventional learning method Academic Year 2013/2014. This research is quasi-experimental. The design of this research is Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research population is the fifth grade students of SD N 9 Sesetan, Denpasar. The sampling technique used in this research is surfeited sampling technique and choose VA class that consist of 40 students and VB class that consist of 42 students. The data were collected is science cognitive learning achivement, by using an objective test method with standard multiple choices. And analyzed by using t-test. Test results of normality and homogenity of data from experimental group and control group were normally distributy and homogeneous.After testing the hypothesis using t-test on significance rate of 5% in order to obtain results tmath=5.75 and ttable=2.00 with db=80(n1+n2-2=40+42-2=80). Based on these tests, tmath>ttable (5.75>2.000), then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. From the research it can be concluded that the SETS approach through Group Work-Based Environmental influence on students learning achievement of science class V SD N 9 Sesetan, Denpasar.
