Abstract

This study aims to determine significant differences in science learning outcomes of students who take the learning model of the Group Investigation aided cooperative media images with students who take conventional learning method in the fifth grade at SDN 21 Dauh Puri. This research was the category of quasi-experimental study (quasi-experimental) research design "Nonequevalent Control Group Design". The population in this research was that the entire the fifth grade students at SDN 21 Dauh Puri, so using the study population. To capture the experimental group and control group randomization (random), which is a class rather than individuals randomized. Class VA as a control group and an experimental group class VB as the number of each class consisting of as many as 31 students VA and VB class of 34 students. To collect the data necessary tests, namely the science achievement test. Analysis of the data used to test the hypothesis of this study was the t-test. Analysis of the data showed that there were significant differences in IPA learning outcomes of students who take learning cooperative model Group Investigation assisted with media images of students who take conventional learning method. It can be shown that t count = 7,897 > t table = 2.000 with an average value of science learning outcomes for the experimental group 83.32 while the control group was 77.42. So, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model Group Investigation aided drawing media influence on science learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN 21 Dauh Puri.
