Pengaruh Model Brain-Based Learning Berbantuan Media Diorama terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas V SD Gugus VIII Sukawati Tahun Ajaran 2013/ 2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran Brain-Based Learning berbantuan media diorama dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas V SD Gugus VIII Sukawati tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan non-equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V di SD Gugus VIII Sukawati tahun ajaran 2013/2014 berjumlah 187 siswa yang tersebar pada 7 sekolah. Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Singapadu Tengah berjumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Singapadu Kaler yang berjumlah 31 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes. Adapun nilai rata-rata post-test pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 75,62, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 60,08. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian data post-test siswa diperoleh data dari kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Kriteria pengujian jika thitung > ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan derajat kebebasan dk = n1 + n2 – 2 dan α = 5% = 0,05. Hasil analisis menunjukkan thitung = 5,2 dan ttabel = 2,01 untuk dk = 58 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, thitung > ttabel (5,2 > 2,01) maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model Brain-Based Learning berbantuan media diorama terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V di SD Gugus VIII Sukawati tahun ajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : Model Model Brain-Based Learning, media diorama, hasil belajar IPS
The aimed of this study is to determine whether there is a significant difference in social study learning outcomes between students who followed Brain-based Learning Model assisted by diorama media with students who took conventional learning in fifth grade of SD Gugus VIII Sukawati 2-13/2014 academic year. This study was a quasi experimental used non-equivalent control group design. Populations in this study were fifth graders in SD Gugus VIII Sukawati 2013/2014 academic year amounted to 187 students spread in 7 schools. The samples used were fifth graders of SD Negeri 1 Singapadu Tengah amounted to 30 students as experimental group and fifth graders of SD Negeri 1 Singapadu kaler amounted to 31 students as control group. The collecting data methods that used were test. The average scores for the post-test in the experimental group is 75,62 while the control group is 60,08. Based on the result of students post-test data, experimental group and control group had been distributed normally and have a homogeneous variance. Under these conditions, the data were analyzed using the t-test. The criteria of examination was "if tcon > ttab so that H0 is rejected and Ha is received by degrees of freedom df = n1 + n2 – 2 and α = 0,05. The results of t-test analysis showed equal to 5, 2and the t-table is equal to 2,01 for df = 58 with a significance level of 5%. Based on the criteria of examination, tcon > ttab (5,2 > 2,01) so that H0 was rejected and Ha was received. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is significant difference Brain-Based Learning model assisted by diorama media to the social study learning outcomes of fifth graders of SD Gugus VIII Singapadu 2013/2014 academic year.
