PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBASIS PRAKTIKUM TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS III SUKAWATI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Problem Based Learning berbasis praktikum dan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional di kelas V SD gugus III Sukawati tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Kontrol Group Desain. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD N 2 Batuan sebagai kelompok eksperimen, dan kelas V SD N 1 Batuan Kaler sebagai kelompok kontrol, yang masing-masing kelompok berjumlah 30 siswa. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik uji-t. Rata-rata hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V yang mengikuti pembelajaran model Problem Based Learning berbasis praktikum lebih dari siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional (X ̅=78,03>X ̅=67,27). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Problem Based Learning berbasis praktikum dan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional (thitung=4,83 > ttabel(α = 0.05;58)=2,01). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berbasis praktikum berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Gugus III Sukawati tahun ajaran 2013/2014.

The present research was undertaken in order to know the significant difference of learning result of Natural Science subject between the students that used Problem Based Learning model based on practicum and the student that used conventional learning in 5th grade student of Cluster III Sukawati in academic year 2013/2014. The design of this research was quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this reseach, which consisted of the 4th grade students of SD N 2 Batuan as the experimental group and the 5th grade students of SD N 1 Batuan Kaler as the control group, consist of 30 students in group. The collected data in this research was data the learning result of the students in Natural Science subject. The collected data was analized by t-test. On the average the Natural Science learning outcomes of 5th grade students taught by using Problem Based Learning model based on practicum is more than students taught by using conventional learning (X ̅=78,03>X ̅=67,27). The result of study shows that there are significant differences in Natural Science leraning output between students taught by using Problem Based Learning model based on practicum with students taught by using conventional learning ((tcount=4,83>ttable(α = 0.05;58)=2,01)). Therefore, Problem Based learning model based on practicum has affects to the Natural Science learning result of 5th grade student of Cluster III Sukawati in academic year 2013/2014.
