PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SD DI GUGUS I KECAMATAN BULELENG

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar IPA yang signifikan antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V Semester Ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013-2014 di Gugus I Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment), dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan non equivalent post-test only control group Design. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus I Kecamatan Buleleng sebanyak 205 orang siswa dengan sampel sebanyak 48 orang siswa, yaitu 27 orang siswa kelas V dari SD No. 5 Banyuniang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 21 orang siswa kelas V dari SD No. 4 Banyuning sebagai kelompok kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah metode nontes (kuesioner). Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai motivasi belajar siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial yaitu uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional ( = 124> 89,29). Selain itu hasil analisis uji-t diperoleh thitung lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ttabel (thitung =21,04 >ttabel = 2,07) ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar yang signifikan antara siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013-2014 di Gugus I Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng.

This study aimed at finding out the differences in motivation in science subjects among students who learned the subject by using the Problem Based Learning Model and the students who were given Conventional Learning Model in the fifth grade in cluster 1 in Buleleng district academic year 2013/2014. This was a quasi experiment research by the use of Non Equivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population was the fifth graders in cluster 1 Buleleng district academic year 2013/2014, amounting to 205 students and the sample consisted of 48 ones, 27 students in fifth grade from Elementary School No. 5 Banyuning as the experimental group and 21 ones in fifth grade from Elementary school No. 4 Banyuning as the control group. Data collection in this study was conducted using a non-test (questionnaire). The questionnaire was used to collect data in students’ motivation. The data analysis method used here was descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis t-test. The result showed that average value of students who learned th subject by using the Problem Based Learning Model was higher than the average value of students who were given Conventional Learning Model ( = 124> 89,29). The result of t-test analysis was greater than that of t-table (tcount =21,04 >ttable = 2,07), this meant that there were significant differences in motivation between the motivation of students who learned by using the Problem Based Learning Model and motivation of students who were given Conventional Learning Model. Thus, the Problem Based Learning Model effect on students’ motivation in science subjects in the fifth grade 1st semester in cluster 1 in Buleleng district academic year 2013/2014.
