PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN RME BERPENGARUH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS VI MOCH. HATTA PANJER DENPASAR SELATAN TAHUN AJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar matematika antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan RME dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain Non-Equivalen Control Group Desain. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Gugus VI Moch. Hatta sebanyak 372 siswa. Sampel yang terpilih dalam penelitian ini adalah SD N 1 Panjer sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SD N 2 Panjer sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 95 siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan metode tes essay, selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar matematika antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan RME dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis uji-t pada taraf signifikansi 5% (α = 0,05), dk= n1 + n2 – 2 = 93 diperoleh ttabel sebesar 2,00 sedangkan thitung sebesar 6,81, sehingga thitung > ttabel yaitu 6,87 > 2,00. Didukung oleh perbedaan skor rata-rata hasil belajar Matematika kelompok eksperimen yaitu 23,92 dan rata-rata hasil belajar Matematika kelompok kontrol yaitu 14,98, sehingga X̅E>X̅K (23,92 > 14,98). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan RME terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus VI Moch. This research aims to find out the significant difference of mathematics learning result between the students who follows the learning process using RME approach and the students who follows the conventional learning process. This research is included to quasi experiment research type with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SD Gugus VI Moch. Hatta of 372 students. The selected samples at this research were SD N 1 Panjer as a experiment class and SD N 2 Panjer as a control class of 95 students. The research data was collected with test essay method, after that the collected data was analyzed with t-test. The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference of mathematics learning result between the students who followed the learning process using RME approach and the students who followed the conventional learning process. It was proven with analysis result of t-test on significance rate of 5% (α = 0.05), dk = n1 + n2 – 2 = 93, ttable was obtained at 2.00 meanwhile tcount at 6.81, so that tcount > ttable that was 6.87 > 2.00. Supported by the difference of average scores of mathematics learning result by experiment group at 23.92 and the average of mathematics learning result by control group at 14.98, so that X̅E>X̅K (23.92 > 14.98). Thereby, it can be concluded that there is an effect of RME approach towards mathematics learning result of the fifth grade students at SD Gugus VI Moch.
