PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CIRC UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN WACANA NARASI SISWA KELAS V SD NO.3 PANJIANOM

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar membaca pemahaman wacana narasi setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) pada siswa kelas V SD nomor 3 Panjianom Kecamatan Sukasada Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD nomor 3 Panjianom yang berjumlah 18 orang siswa. Data hasil belajar membaca pemahaman wacana narasi siswa dikumpulkan dengan instrumen tes berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 69,11 dengan kategori cukup (69,11%) dan pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata 83,00 dengan kategori baik (83,00%). Terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 13,89%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapkan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar membaca pemahaman wacana narasi siswa kelas V SD nomor 3 Panjianom Kecamatan Sukasada Kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.

This research was aimed to find out the improvement of reading comprehension achievement on narrative passage after applying the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) instructional model towards Class V students in SD 3 Panjianom, sub-district of Sukasada, Buleleng regency.
This was a classroom based research that involved 18 class V students in SD 3 Panjianom. The research data were obtained by using multiple choice test instrument and then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively.
The result of data analysis on cycle I was 69.11 in average which was categorized as adequate (69.11%) and on Cycle II the result was 83.00 in average which was categorized as good (83.00%). From the result of data analysis it was found that there was improvement from cycle I to cycle II as much as 13.89%. Therefore it could be concluded that the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) instructional model could improve the reading comprehension achievement on narrative passage for class V students in SD 3 Panji anom in the academic year of 2013/2014.
