PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA KELAS V SD

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 1 Asahduren Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Data penelitian tentang hasil belajar IPA diperoleh dengan metode tes. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Asahduren yang berjumlah 22 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Setiap siklus diadakan 3 kali pertemuan. Pertemuan I dan II untuk pembelajaran, serta pertemuan III pemberian tes untuk pertemuan I dan II sebelumnya. Data dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Rata-rata persentase tingkat hasil belajar IPA siswa dari prestasi awal sebesar 63,33% dengan kreteria rendah menjadi 78,6% dengan kreteria sedang pada siklus I. Ini berarti terjadi peningkatan sebesar 15,27%. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar IPA setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dari prestasi siklus I sebesar 78,6% dengan kreteria sedang, menjadi 89,05% dengan kreteria tinggi pada siklus II. Ini berarti terjadi peningkatan sebesar 10,99%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa.

The kind of this research is action-based reseach, which aims at knowing the increase of science learning after the implementation of problem-based learning model on Class V students in SD Negeri 1 Asahduren in the academic year 2013/2014. The data of this research is obtained by using test method. This research involves class V students in SD Negeri 1 Asahduren which consisted of 22 students. This research is conducted with two cycles. There are 3 meetings in each cycle. The first and second meeting are for learning, and the third meeting is for test. Data is analyzed by using statistical analysis of quantitative methods. The average percentage of the results of students’ science learning from the initial achievement was 63,33% which is considered to be low, has increased to be 78,6% which is considered to be moderate on cycle I. It means there is improvement of 15,27%. There is also an improvement on the students’ results after the implementation problem-based learning from the achievement on cycle 1 to be 78,6% which is considered to be moderate, it becomes 89,05% which is considered high on cycle II. It means there is improvement of 10,99%. This shows that the implementation of Problem-Based Learning can increase the results of students on learning science.
