PENGARUH MODEL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS IPA KELAS V KECAMATAN SUKASADA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis IPA antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model Experiential Learning dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional pada siswa kelas V di SD Gugus V Kecamatan Sukasada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V di SD Gugus V Kecamatan Sukasada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas V SD No. 1 Panji dan kelas V SD No. 2 Sambangan. Data mengenai keterampilan berpikir kritis IPA siswa diperoleh melalui tes tulis yang dilakukan pada akhir pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dikumpulkan dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis IPA yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model Experiential Learning dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t, yang mana thitung = 7,566 dan ttabel (pada taraf signifikansi 5%) = 1,671. Hal ini berarti bahwa t-hitung > t-tabel. Di samping itu, rata-rata skor kelompok eksperimen (25,8) lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata skor kelompok kontrol (16,44). Berdasarkan hasil-hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model experiential learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis IPA siswa kelas V di SD Gugus V Kecamatan Sukasada.Kata Kunci : Kata-kata kunci: model Experiential Learning, keterampilan berpikir kritis IPA
This research was aimed to know the difference of science critical thinking skill between a group of students who participated in learning process by using experiential learning model and a group of students who participated in learning process by using convensional model to the fifth grade students in cluster five of elementary school in Sukasada subdistrict in the academic year of 2013/2014. The genre of this research is appearance experiential research. Population of this research were all of fifth grade students in cluster five of elementary school in Sukasada subdistrict in the academic year of 2013/2014. Sample of this research was fifth grade of SD No.1 Panji and fifth grade of SD No. 2 Sambangan students. Data of students’ science critical thinking skill was gained through written test which was done at the end of the learning process. The data gained was then collected and analized by using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The result of this research showed that there was significant difference of science critical thinking skill between group of students who participated the learning process by using experiential learning model and group of students who participated conventional model of learning process. That was shown from the result of t analysis in which tcount=7,566 and t-table (in significant degree of 5%) = 1,671. It mean that tcount > ttable. Besides, the average score of experimental group was (25,8) while the control group was (16,44). Based on the result, it was concluded that experiential learning model influenced the science critical thinking skill of fifth grade students in cluster five of elementary in Sukasada subdistrict.
