PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MODIFIED FREE INQUIRY BERNUANSA OUTDOOR STUDY TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS 2 KUTA UTARA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Modified Free Inquiry bernuansa outdoor study dan yang dibelajarkan secara konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD Gugus 2 Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di SD Gugus 2 Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 345 orang. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling yang diacak adalah kelasnya untuk menentukan kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan hasil pengundian yaitu siswa kelas VC SD Negeri 2 Tibubeneng sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 35 orang siswa dan siswa kelas VB SD Negeri 1 Tibubeneng sebagai kelompok kontrol yang berjumlah 33 orang siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes jenis objektif bentuk pilihan ganda biasa. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis statistik inferensial (uji-t). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thit = 5,07 ≥ ttab = 2,000 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Modified Free Inquiry bernuansa outdoor study dan yang dibelajarkan secara konvensional, dan dilihat dari nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen = 84,57 > = 76,79 pada kelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Modified Free Inquiry bernuansa outdoor study berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Gugus 2 Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci: Modified Free Inquiry bernuansa outdoor study, hasil belajar IPA.
The present research was aimed to find out the significant difference between the students who were taught by using Modified Free Inquiry learning model in outdoor study and those who were taught by using conventionally upon the fifth graders of elementary school at Gugus 2 Kuta Utara in the academic year of 2013/2014. This research was a quasi-experiment research. The design of this study was nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was 345 students of the fifth graders of elementary school at Gugus 2 Kuta Utara in the academic year of 2013/2014. The sampel was determined by using random sampling in which the researcher did a lotteray. The result of the lotteray showed that the experimental group was 35 students of class VC of SD Negeri 2 Tibubeneng while the control group of this study was 33 students of class VB of SD Negeri 1 Tibubeneng. In this present study, the data collection method used was objective test method in the form of common multiple choice. The gathered data, then was analyzed by using inferential statistic analysis method (t-test). Based on the result of data analysis, the result was tobserved = 5,07 ≥ tcritical value = 2,000 at the significance level of 5%. Hence, it could be interpreted that there was a significant difference of Science learning outcomes between the students who were taught by using Modified Free Inquiry learning model in outdoor study and the students who were taught conventionally. The average score of experimental group was = 84,57 > = 76,79 toward the control group. Therefore, it could be concluded that the application of Modified Free Inquiry learning model in outdoor study gave an influence toward students Science learning outcomes of fifth graders of elementary school at Gugus 2 Kuta Utara in the academic year of 2013/2014.
