MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK BERBANTUAN MEDIA LINGKUNGAN BERPENGARUH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS IPA KELAS V GUGUS LETDA KAJENG DENPASAR UTARA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbantuan media lingkungan dan yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V Gugus Letda Kajeng Kecamatan Denpasar Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu yaitu Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian yakni seluruh siswa kelas V di Gugus Letda Kajeng yang berjumlah 359 siswa. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling yang diacak adalah kelas dengan hasil pengundian yaitu siswa kelas VC SD Negeri 4 Pemecutan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VA SD Negeri 14 Pemecutan sebagai kelompok kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 34 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan metode tes subjektif bentuk uraian. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis statistik uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thit = 3,10 > ttab (α= 0,05, 66) = 2,000, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbantuan media lingkungan dan yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V Gugus Letda Kajeng Kecamatan Denpasar Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Hal ini juga didukung oleh perbedaan nilai rerata kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA kelompok eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol yaitu X ̅=77,42>X ̅=70,58. Oleh sebab itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbantuan media lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPA siswa kelas V Gugus Letda Kajeng Kecamatan Denpasar Utara tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.

This study aims to determine significant differences of science critical thinking skill between students that learned with Project Based Learning model aided by environment media and that learned with conventional learning in the fifth grade students of Gugus Letda Kajeng North Denpasar Subdistrict in academic year 2013/2014. This study is a kind of quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study according to all fifth grade students of Gugus Letda Kajeng North Denpasar Subdistrict in academic year 2013/2014, as many as 359 students. Determination of the samples was done by random sampling technique, and that randomized were classes, with the result that was got two classes, the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Pemecutan as the experimental group and the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 14 Pemecutan as the control group in which each of them consisted of 34 students. The data collection methods used observation method and subjective test method in descriptive form. The collected data were analyzed using t-test statistical analysis. Based on the result of t-test was found tobs = 3.10 > ttab (α= 0,05, 66) =2.000, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. With the result that was mean there were significant differences of science critical thinking skill between students that learned with Project Based Learning model aided by environment media and that learned with conventional learning in the fifth grade students of Gugus Letda Kajeng North Denpasar Subdistrict in academic year 2013/2014. This result was also supported by differences the average score of science critical thinking skill obtained by experimental group that higher than the control group, that was X ̅=77,42>X ̅=70,58. Therefore, it can concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model aided by environment media affects the science critical thinking skill in the fifth grade students of of Gugus Letda Kajeng North Denpasar Subdistrict in academic year 2013/2014.
