MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI BERBASIS MASALAH SOSIAL BERPENGARUH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS MAYOR METRA DENPASAR UTARA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis masalah sosial dan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas V SD Gugus Mayor Metra tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu (quasi experimen) dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara yang terdiri dari 15 kelas dengan siswa 642 orang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas VA di SD Negeri 18 Pemecutan sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 38 siswa dan kelas VB di SD Negeri 29 Pemecutan sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 40 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes berupa tes objektif bentuk pilihan ganda biasa. Data dianalisis dengan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas varian, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t statistik parametrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata hasil belajar IPS kelompok eksperimen yaitu (82,22) lebih besar dari pada kelompok kontrol (65,21). Kriteria pengujian uji hipotesis adalah apabila thitung < ttabel, maka H0 diterima (gagal ditolak) dan Ha ditolak. Sebaliknya apabila thitung > ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji t, menunjukkan (thit = 6,32 > ttabel = 2,00) dengan db = 76 ( n1+n2-2 = 40+38–2 = 76) dalam taraf signifikansi 5%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis masalah sosial berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran inkuiri, masalah sosial, hasil belajar
This research is aimed to know the significant difference of the study result of IPS among students who are are taught to use inquiry learning model with “social problems” with students who are taught to use conventional learning model toward students in grade 5 in SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara period 2013/2014. This study was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. This research population was all students of class V SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara which consists of 15 classes with 642 students. The sample of this research is in the grade 5 SD Negeri 18 Pemecutan as the control class of 38 students and in the grade 5 SD Negeri 29 Pemecutan as an experimental class of 40 students. Data was collected by an objective test techniques such as multiple choice test usual. Data were analyzed with the “t-test”test is normality test, homogeneity of variance , and hypothesis testing using statistical parametric t test. The results showed a mean value of IPS that the experimental group ( 82.22 ) is greater than in the control group ( 65.21 ). Criteria for testing the hypothesis test is when tcount < ttable , then H0 is accepted ( rejected failed ) and Ha is rejected . Conversely, if tcount > ttable , then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. The results of the t test hypothesis test , showing ( thit = 6.32 > table = 2.00 ) with db = 76 ( n1 + n2 -2 = 40 +38-2 = 76) in the 5 % significance level. It can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model with social problems gives impact toward the IPS studying result of the students in grade 5 in SD Gugus Mayor Metra Denpasar Utara period 2013/2014.
