PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS SISWA KELAS III SD NEGERI 10 KESIMAN DENPASAR TIMUR TAHUN AJARAN 2012/2013

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) mengetahui tingkat keaktifan siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS dengan diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD di kelas III SD N 10 Kesiman dan 2) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD di kelas III SD N 10 Kesiman. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III yang terdiri dari 48 siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan di SD N 10 Kesiman. Data tentang keaktifan belajar menggunakan kuesioner dan hasil belajar dikumpulkan menggunakan tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keaktifan belajar pada siklus I dan II telah mengalami peningkatan dari setiap pertemuan. Pada siklus I, persentase nilai rata-rata keaktifan belajar sebesar 63,07%. Setelah dilaksanakan tindakan pada siklus II persentase nilai rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa mampu mencapai 80,07%. Dengan demikian tingkat keaktifan belajar siswa siklus I sampai pada hasil siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 17%. Berkaitan dengan hasil belajar pada siklus I dan II yang telah mengalami peningkatan. Persentase nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai 66,85% dengan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sebesar 62,5%. Setelah dilaksanakan tindakan pada siklus II, persentase hasil belajar meningkat menjadi 81,85% dan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal menjadi sebesar 85,42%. Berdasarkan hasil refleksi siklus I sampai pada hasil siklus II, persentase nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 15% serta ketuntasan belajar klasikal mengalami peningkatan sebesar 12,92%.Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas III SD N 10 Kesiman tahun ajaran 2012/2013.

This study aims to 1) determine the level of the students’ activeness in social studies by applied cooperative learning model with STAD type in the third class of SD N 10 Kesiman and 2) determine the students’ learning outcomes in social studies with the implementation of STAD type of cooperative learning model in the third class of SD N 10 Kesiman. The design of this study was action research with two cycles. The subjects were students of the third class that consisted of 48 students. Clasroom action research was conducted in SD N 10 Kesiman. Data of the students’ learning activeness used questionnaires and learning outcomes used a test. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the students’ learning activeness in cycle I and II that have increased each meeting. In the first cycle, the presentage of the score of the students’ learning activeness was 63.07 %. Having carried out the action in the second cycle the presentage of the average score of students' learning activeness was able to achieve 80.07 %. Thus the level of the students’ learning outcomes in the first cycle to the second cycle increased 17 %. Related to learning outcomes in cycles I and II have increased, the presentage of the average score of students’ learning activeness in the first cycle reached 66.85 % with a passing grade 62.5 % in the classical style. Having carried out the action in the second cycle, the yield increased to 81.85 % and the mastery learning in classical amount to 85.42 %. Based on the results of the reflection in the first cycle to the second cycle, the presentage of the average score of students’ learning outcomes increased by 15 % as well as the completeness of classical learning has increased by 12.92 %. Based on the findings of this study can be concluded that the STAD cooperative learning model can enhance the activeness and resultsof the social studies of the third grade students of SD N 10 Kesiman in academic year 2012/2013.
