PENGARUH STRATEGI REACT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IV SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui deskripsi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Mengetahui deskripsi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika pada kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran REACT. (3) Mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelejaran REACT dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent posttest only control group design.Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD di Gugus VIII, Kecamatan Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 121 orang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD SD No. 1 Paket Agung yang berjumlah 43 orang dan siswa kelas IV SD SD No. 2 Paket Agung yang berjumlah 41 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam bentuk uraian. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata (M) 64,33. (2) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelompok eksperimen dengan rata-rata (M) 96,07. (3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematika antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran REACT dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi konvensional (thitung > ttabel, thitung = 7,84 dan ttabel = 2,00).Kata Kunci : strategi pembelajaran REACT, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika
This research was purposed to know : (1) matemathic problem solving skill the group of student who learnt by using conventional learning strategy, (2) mathemathic problem solving skill the group of student who learnt by using REACT learning strategy, (3) difference of mathemathic problem solving skill between group of student who learnt by using REACT learning strategy and group of student who learnt by using conventional learning strategy. Type of this research was a quasi experiment with nonequivalent posttest only control group design. Population of this research was fourth grade in gugus VIII of kecamatan Buleleng in 2013/2014 school year which consisted of 121 students. The sample was fourth grade students in SD No. 1 Paket Agung which consisted of 43 students and fourth grade students in SD No. 2 Paket Agung which consisted of 41 students. The data were collected by using problem solving skill test in the form of description that was analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis and inferential statistics that was t-test. Result of this reserach is proving that (1) mean of mathemathic problem solving skill in control group was 64,33, (2) mean of mathemathic problem solving skill in experiment group was 96,07, (3) there was difference of mathemathic problem solving skill between group of student who were learnt by REACT learning strategy and group of student who were learnt by conventional strategy (tcount > ttable, tcount = 7,84 dan ttable = 2,00).
