PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN EXPLICIT INSTRUCTION BERBANTUAN MEDIA KONKRET UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS VI SDN 17 DANGIN PURI KOTA DENPASAR TAHUN AJARAN 2013/2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Explicit Instruction berbantuan media konkret siswa kelas VI semester II SDN 17 Dangin Puri Kota Denpasar Kecamatan Denpasar Utara tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SDN 17 Dangin Puri tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode tes. Data hasil belajar diperoleh dengan metode tes. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Explicit Instruction berbantuan media konkret pada mata pelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI SDN 17 Dangin Puri tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 75,17 dan pada Siklus II rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 80,83. Sedangkan persentase ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I yaitu 73,33% yang berada pada kategori “cukup”, mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 86,67% berada pada kategori “tinggi”. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Explicit Instruction berbantuan media konkret pada mata pelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI SDN 17 Dangin Puri tahun ajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci : Explicit Instruction, Media Konkret, hasil belajar IPA
This research aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes through the application of natural science learning model of explicit instruction, aided by the concrete media of the sixth grade student second semester at SDN 17 Dangin Puri Denpasar in academic year 2013/2014. This type of research is classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. the subject of this research is the sixth grade students of SDN 17 Dangin Puri Denpasar who were 30 people. data collection in this research conducted through the test method. Learning outcomes data obtained with the method, further test data were analyzed using descriptive analysis of quantitative and qualitative. The result showed that the application of learning model of explicit instruction aided by concrete media on the subject of natural science is able to improve learning outcomes of the sixth grade student of SDN 17 Dangin Puri Denpasar in academic year 2013/2014. it's seen from the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 75,17 and in the second cycle of the average student learning outcomes increased to 80,83. percentage while mastery learning on the first cycle is 73,33% which is in the category is quite. it's increased to 86,67% in the second cycle at the high category. Thus, it can be concluded of this research is the application of learning model of explicit instruction aided by concrete media on the subject of natural science is able to improve learning outcomes of the sixth grade student of SDN 17 Dangin Puri Denpasar in academic year 2013/2014.
