PENGARUH MODEL CORE TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA SISWA KELAS V DI GUGUS I NAKULA KECAMATAN NEGARA KABUPATEN JEMBRANA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model CORE berbasis lingkungan dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas V di Gugus I Nakula Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas V di Gugus I Nakula Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 147 orang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas V SD No. 3 Baler Bale Agung yang berjumlah 25 orang dan kelas V SD No. 5 Baler Bale Agung yang berjumlah 30 orang. Data pemahaman konsep IPA siswa dikumpulkan dengan instrumen tes berbentuk uraian. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Core berbasis lingkungan dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional kelas V di Gugus I Nakula Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Perbandingan hasil perhitungan rata-rata pemahaman konsep IPA siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Core adalah 33,67 lebih besar dari rata-rata pemahaman konsep IPA siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran model konvensional adalah 26,23. Hal ini berarti penerapan model Core berbasis lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA siswa kelas V di gugus I Nakula Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran CORE, pemahaman konsep IPA
The purpose of this research was to recognize understanding of science concept between the students that taught with CORE learning model based on environment and those that taught with conventional learning model at grade V Elementary School Gugus I Nakula Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana in academic year 2013/2014. This research was a quasi experimental research. The research population was all students in grade V which belong to Elementary School Gugus I Nakula Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana in academic year 2013/2014 with the total 147 students. The sampel of this research was 25 students from grade V Baler Agung 3 Elementary School and 30 students from grade V Baler Agung 5 Elementary School. In collecting the data, the writer uses description test. The data were analysed using a descriptive statistic and inferencial statistic (uji-t). The result of this research showed that there were the differences between the students taught with CORE learning model based on environment learning model and taught with conventional model learning. The comparison average score of the students taught with CORE learning model is 33,67 higher than student that taught with conventional learning model is 26,23. In this research the implementation of CORE learning model based on environment can be considered to be significant in understanding of science concept.
