PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1)untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Gugus XIV Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng, 2)untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning pada siswa kelas V semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Gugus XIV Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng, 3)untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan strategi pembelajar Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Gugus XIV Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Gugus XIV Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng yang berjumlah 102 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sarimekar yang berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Nagasepaha yang berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil belajar IPA siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berbentuk essay. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji–t polled varians). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thitung = 5,22 lebih besar dari ttabel (pada taraf signifikansi 5%) = 2,000. Dilihat dari hasil perhitungan rata–rata hasil belajar IPA kelompok eksperimen adalah 36,82 lebih besar dari rata–rata hasil belajar IPA kelompok kontrol, yaitu 28,2. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Gugus XIV Kecamatan Buleleng Kabupaten Buleleng.

ABSTRACT

This research aimed to know the 1)difference of result in studying IPA between students who were taught by using Strategy conventional grade students in first semester of SD Group XIV in academic year 2013/2014 in Buleleng Sub district, 2) difference of result in studying IPA between students who were taught by using Strategy Problem Based Learning grade students in first semester of SD Group XIV in academic year 2013/2014 in Buleleng Sub district, 3)difference of result in studying IPA between students who were taught by using Strategy Problem Based Learning and students who were taught by using conventional strategy. This research was a quasi-experimental research. The population of this research were 102 fifth grade students in first semester of SD Group XIV in academic year 2013/2014 in Buleleng Sub district. The sample were 25 fifth grade students of SDN 1 Sarimekar as experimental class and 25 fifth grade students of SDN 1 Nagasepaha as control class. The data were obtained by using a test in form of essay test. The data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test polled variants). Based on result, it was obtained the mean score for the experimental class was 36.82 and the mean score for control class was 28.02. From the result of analyzing data, it was obtained that Tobserved = 5.22 is is bigger than Ttabel (on 5% significant level) = 2.000, so the result showed that there is significant difference between students who were taught by using Strategy Problem Based Learning and those who were taught by using conventional strategy students in first semester of SD Group XIV in academic year 2013/2014 in Buleleng Sub district.
