Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kedisan tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan 2) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kedisan tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kedisan yang berjumlah 19 siswa. Data tentang keaktifan belajar dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan hasil belajar dikumpulkan menggunakan tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPS pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kedisan dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan ke siklus II setelah diterapkannya pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual. Pada pra siklus diperoleh persentase keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 61,3% dikategorikan rendah. Pada pelaksanaan siklus I diperoleh persentase keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 73,8% dikategorikan sedang. Selanjutnya pada siklus II diperoleh persentase keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 81,5% dikategorikan tinggi. Berkaitan dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa, pada pra siklus diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar IPS sebesar 61,6 dikategorikan rendah dengan ketuntasan klasikal 47,4%. Pada pelaksanaan siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar IPS sebesar 70,5 dikategorikan sedang dengan ketuntasan klasikal 68,4%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar IPS sebesar 81,1 dikategorikan tinggi dengan ketuntasan klasikal 89,5%. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kedisan tahun ajaran 2014/2015

The aims of this study are 1) to improve the students’ learning activeness for the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedisan in the academic year 2014/2015 and 2) to improve the learning outcomes of social science through the contextual teaching and learning at the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedisan in the academic year 2014/2015. The design of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisted of two cycles. The subjects of this research were the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedisan for about 19 students. The data were collected by using observation sheet and the learning outcomes were collected by using a test. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of this research showed that there were improvements of the learning activeness and the learning outcomes of social science at the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedisan from the pre-cycle to the first cycle and the second cycle after implementing contextual teaching and learning. In the pre-cycle the percentage of student’s learning activities is of 61.3% and it was classified at low. In the first cycle the percentage of student’s learning activities is 73,8% and it was classified at moderate. Next, in the second cycle percentage of student’s learning activities is of 81,5% and it was classified at high. Related to the learning outcomes of social science, in the pre-cycle the average value is of 61,6 and it was classified at low with the classical exhaustiveness of 47,4%. In the first cycle the average value is of 70.5 and it was classified at moderate with the classical exhaustiveness of 68,4%. Next, in the second cycle the average value is of 81.1 and it was classified as high with the classical exhaustiveness of 89.5%. Based on the findings, at could be concluded that the application of the contextual teaching and learning approach can improve the activities and the learning outcomes of social science at the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedisan in academic year 2014/2015.
