PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS OTAK BERBANTUAN MEDIA VISUAL BERPENGARUH TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS DESKRIPSI BAHASA INDONESIA SISWA KELAS V SD GUGUS 2 MENGWI BADUNG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan menulis deskripsi antara siswa kelas V SD Gugus 2 Mengwi Badung yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis otak (brain based learning) berbantuan media visual dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan secara konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V Gugus 2 Mengwi Badung yang berjumlah 265 orang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD N 2 Buduk sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas VB SD N 1 Buduk sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes keterampilan menulis deskripsi berupa tes esai. Hasil tes selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan pengujian statistik uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan menulis deskripsi antara siswa kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelompok kontrol. Ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t, dengan thitung > ttabel. Rata-rata keterampilan menulis deskripsi kelompok eksperimen lebih dari rata-rata keterampilan menulis deskripsi kontrol yaitu 81,08 > 70,97. Hal ini berarti penerapan pembelajaran berbasis otak (brain based learning) berbantuan media visual berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis deskripsi Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SD Gugus 2 Mengwi Badung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata Kunci : pembelajaran berbasis otak, menulis deskripsi
This study aims to determine significant differences between the description writing skills fifth grade elementary school students Force 2 Mengwi Badung that learned to use brain -based learning aided visual media with students that learned conventionall . This research was a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is class V Force 2 Mengwi Badung totaling 265 people. The sample was fifth grade students of SD N 2 Buduk as the experimental group and VB grade students of SD N 1 Buduk as a control group. The data was collected using a test instrument of writing skills in the form of an essay test description. The test results were then analyzed using t-test statistical testing. The results showed that there are significant differences between the students' skills of writing a description of the experimental group and control group students. It can be seen from the results of the t-test, with t count > t table. Average writing skills description of the experimental group over the average control description writing skills ie 81.08 > 70.97. This means the application of brain -based learning aided visual media affects writing skills descriptions Indonesian fifth grade elementary school students Force 2 Mengwi Badung academic year 2013/2014.
