PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DENGAN PENILAIAN PROYEK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN HASIL BELAJAR PENGETAHUAN MATEMATIKA TEMA CITA-CITAKU SISWA KELAS IVB SD NEGERI 8 PEMECUTAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar pengetahuan matematika melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan penilaian proyek siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 8 Pemecutan, Denpasar Barat tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVB SD Negeri 8 Pemecutan sebanyak 40 orang siswa, yang terdiri dari 21 siswa laki-laki dan 19 siswa perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode tes dengan instrumen berupa tes uraian untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan tes objektif untuk mengetahui hasil belajar pengetahuan matematika. Data tentang kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar pengetahuan matematika tersebut dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah 17,4% dari 63,2% pada siklus I menjadi 80,6% pada siklus II. Peningkatan persentase rata-rata hasil belajar pengetahuan matematika 8,6% dari 73,7% pada siklus I menjadi 82,3% pada siklus II. Selanjutnya peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal 20% dari 62,5% pada siklus I menjadi 82,5% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan penilaian proyek dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar pengetahuan matematika.

This study aimed to improve the ability of problem solving and mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of scientific approach on the project assessment of the students in IVB class of SD Negeri 8 Pemecutan, West Denpasar in the academic year of 2014/2015. This study was a classroom action research (PTK) which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycles consisted of four phases, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 8 Pemecutan which consist of 40 students; 21 male students and 19 female students. The data was collected through test method, in which the test was in the form of essay test which used to determine the ability of the students’ problem solving, while objective test was used to determine the students’ mathematics knowledge learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The result of the study showed the increasement of the average precentage of problem solving ability by 17,4% from 63,2% in the first cycle to 80,6% in the second cycle. The increasement of the average precentage of the students’ mathematical knowledge learning outcomes is 8,6% from 73,7% in the first cycle to 82,3% in the second cycle. Moreover, the increasement of the classical completeness was 20% from 62,5% in the first cycle to 82,5% in the second cycle. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of scientific approach on the project assessment has successfully improved the problem solving skills and mathematics knowledge learning outcomes.
