PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS ASESMEN PORTOFOLIO UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PENGETAHUAN IPA DAN PENGETAHUAN PROSEDURAL SISWA KELAS IVA PADA TEMA CITA-CITAKU DI SDN 8 PEMECUTAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan IPA siswa kelas IVA SDN 8 Pemecutan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 setelah penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis asesmen portofolio; dan (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan prosedural siswa kelas IVA SDN 8 Pemecutan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 setelah penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis asesmen portofolio. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVA SDN 8 Pemecutan yang berjumlah 38 orang yang terdiri dari 22 orang perempuan dan 16 orang laki-laki. Data hasil belajar pengetahuan IPA dan pengetahuan prosedural siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes yaitu tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa dan tes uraian. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis statistik, analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, evaluasi/observasi, serta refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar pengetahuan IPA dari ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal pada siklus I sebesar 71,05% menjadi 84,21% pada siklus II; dan (2) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar pengetahuan prosedural secara klasikal yaitu dari nilai rata-rata kelas pada siklus I sebesar 74,08 menjadi meningkat 80,53 pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis asesmen portofolio dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pengetahuan IPA dan pengetahuan prosedural siswa kelas IVA SDN 8 Pemecutan tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Saintifik, Asesmen Portofolio, Pengetahuan IPA dan Pengetahuan Prosedural
The aims of this study are to: (1) improve the learning outcomes of Natural Science of students in the grade IVA at SDN 8 Pemecutan Academic Year 2014/2015 after applying scientific approach based on portfolio assessment; and (2) improve the learning outcomes of Procedural Knowledge of students in the grade IVA at SDN 8 Pemecutan Academic Year 2014/2015 after applying scientific approach based on portfolio assessment. Subjects of this study were students in the grade IVA at SDN 8 Pemecutan with a total of 38 students, 22 were female and 16 were male. The data of this study were collected by using testing method in the form of objective test of common multiple choices and descriptive. Then, the collected data were analyzed by using statistical analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. Type of this study was class action research that was carried out in two cycles. Every cycle consisted of planning stage, implementation of the actions, evaluation/observation and reflection. Result of this study showed: (1) there was an increase in learning outcomes of Natural Science from the completeness of students’ learning outcomes classically in cycle I from 71,05% to 84,21% in cycle II; and (2) there was an increase of learning outcomes of Procedural Knowledge classically, i.e. from the average score of the class in cycle I was 74,08 to 80,53 in cycle II. Thus, it could be drawn a conclusion that the application of scientific approach based on portfolio assessment could improve the learning outcomes of Natural Science and Procedural Knowledge of students in the grade IVA at SDN 8 Pemecutan Academic Year 2014/2015.
