ANALISIS KESULITAN-KESULITAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS IV DALAM IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM 2013 DI SD PILOTING SE-KABUPATEN GIANYAR

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) kesulitan-kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas IV dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SD Piloting Se-Kabupaten Gianyar, (2) penyebab kesulitan-kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami oleh siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di 7 SD Piloting se-Kabupaten Gianyar yang berjumlah 476 siswa. Sampel dihitung dengan rumus Slovin sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 217 siswa yang diambil secara random. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes dan angket. Tes digunakan untuk menganalisis kesulitan-kesulitan belajar matematika ditinjau dari kesulitan pada pemahaman konsep, keterampilan dan pemecahan masalah. Angket digunakan untuk mengetahui penyebab kesulitan-kesulitan belajar matematika. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kesulitan-kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas IV dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SD Piloting Se-Kabupaten Gianyar meliputi kesulitan pemahaman konsep dengan kategori tinggi (47,54%), kesulitan pada penguasaan keterampilan matematika dengan kategori tinggi (61,29%), dan kesulitan pada pemecahan masalah dengan kategori tinggi (54,69%). (2) Faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar matematika meliputi faktor internal yaitu minat dengan kategori cukup berpengaruh (41,97%), motivasi dengan kategori cukup berpengaruh (46,98%), intelegensi dengan kategori berpengaruh (54,38%) dan faktor eksternal meliputi faktor guru dengan kategori cukup berpengaruh (42,11%) dan buku siswa dengan kategori cukup berpengaruh (33,96%).

This study aimed to describe (1) learning difficulties of mathematic by the students in the fourth grade the implementation of curriculum 2013 in piloting of Elementary school Gianyar’s regency, (2) the cause of learning difficulties of mathematic by the students. The population in this research is the fourth grade students in 7 piloting of elementary school Gianyar regency, which amounted 476 students. The sample is calculated by the Slovin’s formula so that obtained a sample of 217 students were taken randomly. Data collected by the method of tests and questionnaires. The test is used to analyze the difficulties of learning mathematics in terms of difficulty in understanding the concepts, skills and problem solving. The questionnaire used to determine the cause of the difficulties in learning mathematics. The analytical method that used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) learning difficulties of mathematic by the students in the fourth grade the implementation of curriculum 2013 in piloting of Elementary school Gianyar’s regency include difficulty of understanding the concept in the high category (47.54%), difficulty in mastering math skills in the high category (61.29%), and difficulty of solving problems in the high category (54.69%). (2) The cause of mathematic learning difficulties such as internal factors those are interest in influential enough category (41.97%), motivation in influential enough category (46, 98%), intelligence in influential category (54.38%) and external factors such as the teacher factor in influential enough category (42.11%) and student’s books in influential enough category (33.96%).
