PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STARTER EKSPERIMEN BERBANTUAN PETA KONSEP TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS V SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Starter Eksperimen berbantuan peta konsep, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, (3) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Starter Eksperimen berbantuan peta konsep dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 di SD Gugus Tambora Kecamatan Melaya. Penelitian ini tergolong jenis quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent post test only control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 di SD Gugus Tambora Kecamatan Melaya yang berjumlah 161 siswa. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V SDN 2 Nusasari yang berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SDN 2 Ekasari yang berjumlah 22 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data hasil belajar IPA dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes berbentuk pilihan ganda dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (uji-t). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thit = 2,937 dan ttab (ts 5%) = 2,021. Hal ini berarti thit > ttab sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPA antara kedua kelompok siswa. Selain itu, diketahui skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen (22,96) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (19,23). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Starter Eksperimen berbantuan peta konsep berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 di SD Gugus Tambora Kecamatan Melaya.Kata Kunci : starter eksperimen, peta konsep, hasil belajar
This study was aimed to (1) describe the result of IPA students who were treated by starter experiment learning model by using concept map, (2) describe the result of IPA students who were treated by conventional learning model, (3) to know a significant different result of IPA between students who were treated by starter experiment learning model and student who were treated by conventional learning model in the fifth grade of elementary school in Gugus Tambora Sub-District Melaya. This research was a quasi experimental research with non-equivalent post test only of control group design. The population of this research was all fifth grade students in elementary school in Gugus Tambora Sub-District Melaya which amounts to 161 people. The samples of this research was fifth grade students in SDN 2 Nusasari many as 25 people as an experimental group and fifth grade students in SDN 2 Ekasari many as 22 people as the control group. IPA learning result was collected using a multiple choice test instruments and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). Based on the analysis, obtained thit = 2,937 and ttab (ts 5%) = 2,021. This means, thit > ttab, so that it can be interpreted that there was significant differences between the IPA learning results of students who take the starter experiment learning model by using concept map with students who take conventional learning model. Mean of eperimental group is 22,96 and mean of control group is 19,23. It can be concluded that the starter experiment learning model by using concept map had an affects the IPA learning result of fifth grade science students in the academic year 2014/2015 in elementary school in Gugus Tambora Sub-District Melaya.
