This study aims to determine the differences in science outcomes between the groups of students that learned with a Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy (SAVI) learning model aided with mind mapping media with a group of students that learned with conventional learning models in the fifth grade elementary students in cluster II Mendoyo District in the academic year 2014/2015. The research was a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population in this study was the fifth grade elementary students in cluster II Mendoyo District in the academic year 2014/2015. The samples of this research were the fifth grade students in SD N. 1 Pergung with 31 students as an experimental group and fifth grade students in SD N. 2 Pergung with 29 students as the control group. The data of science learning outcome were collected using a multiple-choice test instruments. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (t-test). Based on the analysis of data, obtained thit=5,644 and ttab (at significance level of 5%) = 2,021. It means thit > ttab, this showed that there were significant differences between the science learning outcomes in the groups of students that learned with a SAVI learning model aided with mind mapping media with a group of students that learned with conventional learning models. The arithmetic mean of the experimental group was 23,80 in very high category and the arithmetic mean of control group was 18,31 in the high category, so it can be concluded that the application of learning models SAVI effected on students’ science learning outcomes in the fifth grade elementary students in cluster II Mendoyo District.
