Penerapan Mind Mapping Dalam Pendekatan Saintifik Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar PKn Dan Pengetahuan Prosedural Siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 17 Dangin Puri

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn dan pengetahuan prosedural melalui penerapan mind mapping dalam pendekatan saintifik siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 17 Dangin Puri tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam tiga kali pertemuan. Rancangan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan atau observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 17 Dangin Puri yang berjumlah 36 siswa yang terdiri dari 20 siswa perempuan dan 16 siswa laki-laki. Data tentang hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode tes dengan instrument berupa tes hasil belajar. Data mengenai hasil belajar PKn dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan rata-rata persentase hasil belajar PKn siswa sebesar 22,23% dari 66,38% pada siklus I dengan kriteria sedang menjadi 88,61% pada siklus II dengan kriteria tinggi. Ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar meningkat sebesar 16,67% dari 69,44% pada siklus I menjadi 86,11% pada siklus II. Untuk pengetahuan procedural pada siklus I sebesar 68,05% dengan kriteria sedang meningkat sebesar 13,61% menjadi 81,60% dengan kriteria tinggi pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar PKn dan pengetahuan prosedural siswa melalui penerapan mind mapping dalam pendekatan saintifik pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 17 Dangin Puri.

Abstract This research was aimed to improve the learning outcomes of citizenship education and the procedural knowledge by using mind mapping in scientific approachment to the fourth grade students of 17 Dangin Puri Elementary School. The type of this research was classroom action research (CAR) that implemented into two cycles while each cycle was divided into three times of meeting. Each cycle formed by four steps, there were planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this study were the fourth grade students of 17 Dangin Puri Elementary School in total of 36 students consist of 20 female students and 16 male students. The data about learning outcomes of citizenship education was analyzed by using descriptive quantitative analysis method. This data was obtained by using instrument test method called learning outcome’s test. The result of this research shows the improvement of students citizenship education’s learning outcomes average percentage reaches 22,23% from 66,38% in the first cycle that belongs to medium criteria to 88,61% in the second cycle that belongs to high criteria. Classical completeness of students learning outcomes increase 16,67% from 69,44% in the firs cycle to 86,11% in the second cycle. The result of procedural knowledge in the first cycle is 68,05% which belongs to medium criteria increases 13,61% to 81,60% which belongs to high criteria in the second cycle. This result shows that there are improvements of student’s learning outcomes average after using mind mapping study in citizenship education.
