PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN SIKAP SOSIAL SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara pemahaman konsep dan sikap sosial siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas VI SD di desa Busungbiu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan rancangan penelitian post-test only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD di desa Busungbiu. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD No. 3 Busungbiu sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SD No. 4 Busungbiu sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa dan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui sikap sosial siswa, yang dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, SPSS uji-t dan manova.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD) dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (p < 0,05), (2) terdapat perbedaan sikap sosial antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (p < 0,05), (3) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep dan sikap sosial siswa antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep dan sikap sosial siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas V di SD Gugus I Kecamatan Busungbiu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata Kunci : STAD, pemahaman konsep, sikap sosial
This study aims to determine whether there are significant differences between the understanding of concepts and social attitudes of students in science subjects by using cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) and conventional learning models at six graders in Busungbiu village school year 2014 / 2015.This research is a quasi-experimental with a research design “post-test only control group design”. The populations in this research were all fifth grade primary school students in Busungbiu village. Samples were students of fifth grade in SD No. 3 Busungbiu as experimental class and SD No. 4 Busungbiu as the control class. Data collection techniques using test method to determine the students' understanding of concepts and observation sheets to determine the social attitudes of students, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics, spss t-test and manova.The results showed that: (1) there is a difference between understanding the concept of a group of students that learned by cooperative learning model type STAD and a group of students that learned with conventional learning models (sig = 0.001 <0.05), (2 ) there are differences in social attitudes between groups of students that learned by cooperative learning model type STAD and a group of students that learned with conventional learning models (sig = 0.000 <0.05), (3) there are differences in understanding of concepts and attitudes social students between groups of students that learned by cooperative learning model type STAD and a group of students that learned with conventional learning models (sig = 0.000 <0.05). It can be concluded that cooperative learning model type STAD) has a significant effect for the student’s concepts understanding and social attitudes of fifth grade science class in SD Gugus I Busungbiu school year 2014/2015.
