Pengaruh Pendekatan Saintifik Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter Terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Bahasa Indonesia Kelas V Semester II

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan membaca pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia antara kelompok siswa yang belajar mengikuti pendekatan Saintifik berbasis Pendidikan Karakter dan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V semester genap SD di Gugus III Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Karangasem Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment dengan rancangan nonequivalent post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus III Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten karangasem tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 7 kelas dengan siswa 171 orang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas V SD N 2 Tianyar dengan jumlah siswa 27 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V SD N 3 Tianyar dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu tes objektif yang berjumlah 30 soal. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dalam dua tahap, yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan membaca antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pendekatan Saintifik berbasis Pendidikan Karakter dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, dengan nilai thitung sebesar 2,963 dan ttab sebesar 2,000. Artinya, thitung lebih besar dari ttab. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pendekatan saintifik berbasis Pendidikan Karekater terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas V semester genap SD di gugus III Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Karangasem tahun pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata Kunci : pendekatan saintifik, pendidikan karakter, membaca
This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference in students' reading skills in subjects Indonesian between groups of students who are learning to follow the approach based Character Education Scientific and groups of students who take the conventional learning in class V semester SD in Cluster III Kubu Sub District, Karangasem academic year 2014/2015. This study is a quasi experimental design with nonequivalent post test only control group design. The study population was the fifth grade elementary school students in Cluster III Kubu district, Karangasem regency in the academic year 2014/2015, amounting to 7 classes with 171 students. This research sample is class V SD N 2 Tianyar the number of students 27 people as experimental class and class V SD N 3 Tianyar the number of students 22 people as the control class. This research instrument is an objective test questions totaling 30. The data obtained were analyzed in two stages, namely the descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). The results showed that there are differences in reading skills betweengroups of students that learned with the approach based Character Education scientific and group of students that learned with conventional learning, with a value of ttab 2, 963 and tcount 2,000. That is, tcount greater than ttab. Based on these results, it can be said that there is significant influence Character Education-based scientific approach to reading skills of students of class V semester in group III SD Kubu district, Karangasem regency in the academic year 2014/2015.
