PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SAVI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V SDN 10 Sumerta melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis model pembelajaran somatic, auditory, visual, intelectual (SAVI). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 10 Sumerta tahun ajaran 2015/2016, terdiri dari 29 siswa. Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes tertulis. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa, persentase rata-rata penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada siklus I hanya mencapai 77,17% dan berada pada kriteria sedang dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS telah mencapai 87,34% dan berada pada kriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dari siklus I ke siklus II. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis model pembelajaran somatic, auditory, visual, intelectual (SAVI) dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V SDN 10 Sumerta.Kata Kunci : pendekatan saintifik, pembelajaran SAVI, kompetensi pengetahuan IPS
The purpose of this research is to increase the masteris of social knowledge competency at the fifth grade students of SDN 10 Sumerta through a scientific implementation approach into learning basic models somatic, auditory, visual, intelectual (SAVI). This research was divided into two stages. The subject of this research was the fifth grade students of SDN 10 Sumerta, in the year of calendar academic 2015/2016, with total number of students was 29. The method of data collects was based a written test. Then the data collected was analyzed by using descriptive statistic analysis and kuantitative descriptive analysis method. The analysis result shows that there is increasing on mastering social knowledge competency among the students with the average procentase of social knowledge masters reaches only 77,17% on the first stage, and this scene is calculated at the medium criteria. While on the second stage the increasing of the social knowledge mastering has reached up to 87,34% and it is on the highest level. Finally, it can be said that there has been an increasing of social knowledge mastering from the first stage to the second level. From the research result, it can be concluded that the implementation of scientific approach with learning basic models such as somatic, auditory, visual, intelectual (SAVI) can increase the masteris of social knowledge competency for the fifth grade students of SDN 10 Sumerta.
