PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBASIS POTOFOLIO UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN IPS DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI

Penelitian Tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis portofolio pada tema cita-citaku siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sumerta dan (2) meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis portofolio pada tema cita-citaku siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sumerta. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sumerta Kecamatan Denpasar Timur yang berjumlah 30 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode, (1) tes, digunakan untuk memperoleh data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS berupa soal objektif pilihan ganda biasa, dan (2) nontes, digunakan untuk memperoleh data motivasi berprestasi berupa kuesioner/angket. Data penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan Motivasi Berprestasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada siklus I persentase rata-rata hanya mencapai 77,7% dan berada pada kriteria sedang dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS telah mencapai 86,9% dan berada pada kriteria tinggi. Untuk motivasi berprestasi Pada siklus I persentase rata-rata motivasi berprestasi hanya mencapai 75,33% dan berada pada kriteria sedang dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan motivasi berprestasi telah mencapai 83,16% dan berada pada kriteria tinggi. Dapat dikatakan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan motivasi berprestasi dari siklus I ke siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbasis portofolio dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS dan motivasi berprestasi pada tema cita-citaku siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 10 Sumerta.Kata Kunci : pendekatan saintifik berbasis portofolio, penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPS, dan motivasi berprestasi.
This classroom action research aims to (1) improve the mastery of competencies of social sciences knowledge through the application of the approach scientifically-based portfolio on the theme of “cita-citaku” fourth grade students of SD Negeri 10 Sumerta and (2) increase the motivation of achievement through the application of the approach scientifically-based portfolio on the theme of “cita-citaku” fourth grade students of SD Negeri 10 Sumerta. Subjects in this study is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 10 Sumerta East Denpasar District totaling 30 people. Collected data in this study conducted by the method, (1) test, used to obtain data on the mastery of competencies of social sciences knowledge of multiple choice objective questions, and (2) nontes, used to obtain data on achievement motivation questionnaire. Data mastery of competencies and social sciences knowledge Achievement Motivation analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study showed an increase competence mastery of knowledge IPS in the first cycle the average percentage only reached 77.7% and is at moderate criteria and the second cycle increased competence mastery of knowledge IPS has reached 86.9% and is at high criteria. For achievement motivation In the first cycle the average percentage of achievement motivation only reached 75.33% and are in the middle criteria and the second cycle increased achievement motivation has reached 83.16% and are at high criteria. It can be said that there has been an increase in the mastery of knowledge IPS competence and achievement motivation from the first cycle to the second cycle. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of portfolio-based scientific approach can improve the mastery of knowledge IPS competence and achievement motivation in “cita-citaku” theme of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 10 Sumerta.
