PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAPAT MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN PENGUASAAN KOMPETENSI PENGETAHUAN MATEMATIKA SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan keaktifan belajar matematika melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning siswa kelas VB SDN 8 Padangsambian, (2) meningkatkan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning siswa kelas VB SDN 8 Padangsambian. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VB SDN 8 Padangsambian sebanyak 45 siswa yang terdiri dari 21 siswa laki-laki dan 24 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Setiap siklus melalui tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Data yang telah dikumpulkan, dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis statistik deskriptif. Keaktifan belajar siswa diukur dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Pada prasiklus persentase rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa adalah 58,33% berada pada kriteria kurang aktif. Setelah mendapat tindakan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 71,42% dan selanjutnya pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 82,52% berada pada kriteria aktif. Terjadi peningkatan persentase rata-rata keaktifan siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 11,1%. Kompetensi pengetahuan matematika diukur dengan menggunakan tes uraian. Pada prasiklus 42,22% atau sebanyak 19 siswa dari 45 siswa yang mendapat predikat ≥B. Setelah mendapat tindakan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 62,22%, dan selanjutnya pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,43% atau 38 siswa dari 45 siswa mendapat predikat ≥B. Terjadi peningkatan persentase penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika sebesar 22,21%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan kompetensi pengetahuan matematika pada siswa kelas VB di SDN 8 Padangsambian tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : problem based learning, keaktifan, matematika
This research was aimed to (1) increase the activeness of learning mathematics through the implementation of Problem Based Learning model in class VB of SDN 8 Padangsambian (2) increase the mastery competence of mathematics knowledge through the implementation of Problem Based Learning model in class VB of SDN 8 Padangsambian. This research was a classroom action research (PTK). The subjects were students of class VB as many as 45 students to 21 male students and 24 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles. Every cycle there were steps activities reflection, the action plans, the action, and evaluation. The data were obtained then analyzed by using analysis of descriptive quantitative and analysis of statistic descriptive. Activeness of students learning mathematics was measured using observation sheet. In prasiklus the average percentage of students activeness was 58,33% in less active criteria. After obtaining the action in cycle I increased to 71,42% and on the cycle II increased to 82.52% in active criteria. It is showing the improvement is 11,1%. Mastery competence of mathematics knowledge is measured by using a essay test, In prasiklus 42.22% or as many as 19 students from 45 students who have get predicate ≥B. After obtaining the action in cycle I increased to 62.22%, and on the cycle II increased to 84.43% or 38 students out of 45 students that have get predicate ≥B. It is showing the improvement is 22.21%. Based on these result, it can conclude that the application of Problem Based Learning model can enhance the activeness and competence of mathematics knowledge in class VB of SDN 8 Padangsambian in the academic year 2015/2016.
